Art Direction - Home Design/Studio

Here is my latest work in the studio for Do It Yourself magazine. In these images my role begins at concept. We are a mighty team of two - myself and the Editor of the magazine sit down and brainstorm the trends and projects we want our readers to get each issue. When we decide on a story concept I then hire a producer to make our ideas come to life. As the weeks go by in the planning stages, I check in with the producer making sure the work is going as planned and hire a photographer during this time. The week of the shoot I walk through the sets making sure everything is on brand for DIY, making sure we have options for props, ensuring the color palette of the story is captured and we have a thorough shot list to use the day of the shoot. The day of the shoot I am on set in person (sometimes virtually) to direct lighting, angles and overall vision of the story. I direct the photographer, stylist, models (both human and pets) to ensure our brand is being portrayed and our story is fully captured to be ready for the layout stage.

I have experience art directing on set in person and also virtually.
