From Editorial Feature to Multi-Brand Franchise Story

While scouting locations for an upcoming home tour, I identified a space that felt deeply aligned with the Better Homes & Gardens visual identity — warm, approachable, personality-driven, and highly aspirational while still feeling authentic and livable. I pitched the story internally and led creative direction for the original feature shoot for Do It Yourself magazine.

Following the closure of the title, I recognized the continued editorial and brand potential of the story and re-pitched the feature to the Better Homes & Gardens monthly magazine team. The home tour was ultimately published as a full feature and selected as the May 2024 cover story.

Since publication, the story has continued to expand across the brand ecosystem, appearing in three additional Better Homes & Gardens titles as well as digital and online platforms — extending the reach and longevity of the original creative concept across multiple audience touchpoints.

This project highlights my approach to visual storytelling: identifying emotionally resonant spaces, advocating for strong creative ideas, and shaping photography-driven stories that can scale across platforms while maintaining a cohesive brand point of view.
