Tween Easter Gift Guide

My kids are now at the age where they know the Easter Bunny isn’t “real” but we still celebrate and do all the Easter things … we just have to make it fun for their age. They still love a good egg hunt - who doesn’t?! And so we have to make it a little harder and we also got “golden eggs” so they each have a grand prize egg that will be harder to find. I thought it would be fun to put a $10 bill in the egg or a coupon for a fun outing like mini golf we could do together this spring.

When choosing gifts for their baskets I tend to stick to this plan to reign myself in:

  1. Stuffy (they still love them and they are obsessed with Squishmallows so I went with those this year - Aerie has a bunch actually that aren’t marked up like they are on Amazon)

  2. Book (if they have a book series they are reading, I get the next one. I also got them bookmarks this year)

  3. Treat (Ok, I get a lot of treats … but go early to Target cuz nobody wants a Valentine’s situation happening again)

  4. Something they need (I love to get the summer started off right - so swim goggles or sandals go in their basket cuz they need them anyway and this is an excuse to get really cute ones)

  5. Personal gift to them (My Dad always taught me that gifts are more special when they are personal to the person. I tend to always “keep things even” and get 3 of everything but I try to think of one thing that is special just for each kiddo. My kids are also getting sentimental like their mama, so they love a good personal note to them as well.

I did all my shopping online this year because apparently this is just who I am now. I linked them here if you need some ideas for your kiddos!

I also rounded up my favorite basket finds this year - I wanted to upgrade ours because I’m pretty sure I grabbed these last minute at Walmart when they were babies! You can shop them here:
