Easy DIY Dollhouse
A looooong time ago I saw this cute idea for a dollhouse on Pinterest using a 9 cube organizer. We had an old one we weren’t using any longer so I started collecting things to put in it to make one for Charlie. One crazy idea I had was - I have always loved locker decor - why?! I have no idea - it’s always super cute and I see it when we were are back to school shopping so the wheels started turning on how I could use it for the dollhouse.
I realized my favorite removable wallpaper brand, Chasing Paper, sells 12x12 samples of their wallpaper so I picked out 5 of them for the walls. I rounded up some locker chandeliers that were on clearance last year and used command strips to get them to stick to the ceiling since the organizer isn’t magnetic like a locker. Most recently I finally found some cute locker rugs at Target to complete the look. We already had a ton of wood doll furniture from a Barbie house so we used those pieces to finish it. I linked some sets that are similar below. I also picked out a 9 cube organizer that is cuter that if I were buying one that is what I would get instead of the cheap particle board version have - but it works :)
I am not usually a DIY kind of girl but this was a fun project to finally fulfill my dream of using locker decor in a really cute way. Charlie actually plays with this almost every day so it has paid off!
