Charlie is SEVEN

Charlie at seven is pretty magical. She has her moments like we all do (tired Charlie is NOT fun), but I think Andy and I both can agree we love her at this age. She is so creative I just have a feeling she is going to do big things with that someday. She loves to draw, color, and craft all. the. time. She likes to draw cupcakes, rainbows, and ice cream cones and her latest venture is making books with her drawings.

She is learning to read and it’s really adorable. She was very proud to get chapter books for her birthday and read Pinkalicious to me last night. I loved watching her sound the words out and comprehend what she is reading. She will pause after certain pages and ask questions about the illustrations … it’s fun to see she is putting all of that together.

If she is at home and there is room to do a cartwheel she is going to be flipping around until she is tired. She started a tumbling class this year and it’s been fun to see how much she practices on her own time. Her gift from Andy and I for her birthday was this gymnastics mat and she is in love!

She loves to play with both of her brothers and right now they all love playing Minecraft together on their Kindles. We got her this one for Christmas and her favorite thing to do on it is READ books! She has an app where she styles hair and she also colors really elaborate pictures on it so it has been one of her favorite gifts ever.

Her latest love is LOL dolls. She prefers the Glitter series ones (because who doesn’t) and is just dying to get a mermaid one someday. She got 12 of them for her birthday and so our next project on our list is to make a LOL doll house. Stay tuned because we have already started and it’s going to be super cute!!
